There was still a sense that, yes, America belonged to her people, and that the welfare of those people was the most important purpose of the country.

California. Though this weekend, one far right Mormon politician, Utah Senator Robert Bennett (R) is likely to be politically euthanized for not being far right enough, Mormons operate inside-- and to the detriment of-- the American political system in far less visible ways. That said, I'd like to ask you to watch the trailer above for The Mormon Proposition.
